For our National dance classes we require you to wear the following:

 

Pre Primary & Primary

• Black wrap cardigan

Grade 3 & 4

An additional item required for the class is a national skirt. This is worn to resemble the traditional styles as worn by the national dancers that form our syllabus study.

 

The national skirt is black and decorated with 3 rows of ribbons, reflecting the colourful folkloric costumes of many European countries. The colours may be chosen by the student.

 

A national shoe should be made of leather. It is not a canvas character shoe or cabaret style shoe. Beginners will start with a low heeled shoe, progressing to a Cuban heel but please check with your teacher before purchasing.
